Cheers to 3 years!

In life, it’s not often that we celebrate the little things or publicly acknowledge the special humans in our lives.

To celebrate 3 years of The Resume Fox, I’m doing both - in true celebratory fashion!

In year 3, The Resume Fox:

  • Helped our clients with resumes that showcase their authentic selves. The list could stop here and it would be complete. This is the most rewarding aspect of The Resume Fox for sure.

  • Launched our blog with lots of resume and application process insights.

  • Created a resume course for adult learners within PLA University’s training program. Thank you, Kristi, for your unwavering confidence and friendship.

  • Created email marketing campaigns and lead magnets, increasing email audience by 40% and leading to new leads.

  • Presented resume tips and tricks to a group of 15+ interns at Milhaus.

  • Established a regular email marketing cadence, increasing repeat client bookings. Thank you, Emily, for your guidance and captivating teaching skills. “It’s like watching television.”

  • Designed 3 resume templates for purchase, aiding resume seekers on tight timelines.

  • Brainstormed with other business owners and solopreneurs. Special shoutout to my girls Felter and Arielle

  • Joined a group coaching program, encouraging me to grow as a business owner and leader.

  • Implemented and streamlined processes through consistent tinkering and a few complete overhauls to best serve clients and reduce total turnaround times by 30%.

  • Supported military spouses and veterans in pursuing their next adventures, either as they transition out of the military, PCS, or switch gears to a different post-military life role.

  • Collaborated with 7 contractors, adding streamlined processes, and forcing me to flex my leadership & communication muscles.*

*If you think these bullet points are interesting, just wait to see how we share your experiences on your resume.

To say year 3 was fun, yet challenging is an understatement.

I enjoyed experimenting, outlining my non-negotiables, challenging myself, saying no, and pushing myself outside my comfort zone.

Thank you to those who made year 3 possible:

Our clients and those who shared The Resume Fox with others.

For members of “the skulk,” people who forwarded emails, shared our posts on social media, and encouraged others to invest in themselves. These connections do not go unnoticed and we appreciate them dearly. In fact, they contributed to a 181% growth from year 2. We cannot thank you enough.

Helena, you bring color, innovation, and creativity to The Resume Fox.

I can say with 100% certainty that without your ingenuity and passion we would not have seen this magnitude of growth this year. Thank you for running with your ideas and perhaps most challenging: taking my half-baked thoughts to fully fledged plans. I am so grateful our paths crossed.

Matthew, you give me the space to be brave.

Thank you for encouraging me to become more myself than I have ever been. You celebrate every step along the way, in true hype man fashion. Thanks for being on this wild ride with me. But then again, when have our lives ever been ordinary?

Louie and Ruthie, year 3 is dedicated to you, sibs.

You’re my favorite team to be a part of.

And again to our clients and “the skulk,” thank you for your support and confidence in The Resume Fox.

Bring it on, year 4!

Your resume guru and job search cheerleader,

Olivia
